Industrial valves are an essential part of the processor industry which requires flows of all fluids such as gas and oil and used in various downstream industries such as plants, offshore facilities and power generation. They also play a key role in making future energy efficient.

 

1 Design
Over the past 60 years, PK Valve has designed Valves for nuclear power plants, petrochemicals, oil and gas while satisfying various re quirem ents of customers. In addition, our company has valve diagnosis facilities which can carry out a design stage and tests through pre-production stictural and flow analyses by reflecting international codes and standards(ASME, ASTM, AWS, etc.) and thus, using 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor��)By doung so, we carry out customized design and a testing service which meet customer needs.

2 Making Pattern/ Combining Upper and Lower Molds
This is a process to prepare product forms by producing wooden, plastic and metal patterns by using wood, resin and metals. PK Valve has secured more than 20,000 valve patterns through its 64-year-long know-how. Therefore, customers can choose a wide variety of products while receiving products on schedule.

3 Casting
PK Valve's casting process aims to supply good-quality materials through casting design and alloy design. Valve boasts of the world-leading casting technology on the basis of its 50-year-long experiences in casting and excellent human resources. In particular, our company has differentiated technological power in riser managment, attaching chills and casting design.

Casting Design / Testing
This means entire casting design which decides the location, numerical value and pouring time of ladles, sprues, risers and chillers In addition, this process process proves whether or not design is practical.

9 Grinding/ Shot Blasting / Acid Treatment
Grinding : Making surfaces smooth with a grinder
Shot Blasting : Removing scales, rust, oil and others by shooting steel balls on product surfaces
Acid Treatment : Removing pollutants on stainless products and forming oxide film with acid liquids

10 Material Development Research Center
PK Valve is concentrating on developing new materials by opening the Material Development Research Center not only with the most advanced vacuuming and melting facilities but also a precise casting booth and a mobile welding work site.

Our company enhanced its quality management as the Material Development Research Center observes minute organization through a microscope and analyses characteristics of materials.

In addition, we are capable of analyzing causes of problems and quickly coping with the problems. Our company will cement its leading position as a material and parts specialist by developing new and specialized materials for valves to produce high-value-added products such as high alloy, duplex, inconel and titanium valves and nurturing welding specialists./dd>

11 Processing / Asssembling
Processing : Processing bodies, wedges, bonnets and yokes by using lathes, milling machines and boring machines and machining centers

Assembling : Combining parts and BODs.

12 Water Pressure and Operation Tests
Conducting water pressure tests and opening and closing function tests.

We are significantly lowering defect rates during quality checks with outside people attending through process and quality management by processes..

13 Painting and Inspection
Painting processed products to prevent their corrosion and enhance its durability and inspecting their painting and cleanness.

PK Valve is capable of conducing painting work to satisfy painting specifications of customers.

Our company carries out most of the liquid coating such as zinc coating, heatproof coating, 3 coating and epoxy coating by expanding painting Sohp additionally (four small drying furnaces and two big booths). In addition, we conduct powder coating and thermal spray coating (ground and offshore plants, major and minor equipment for nuclear power plants).

14 Quality Management
In order to enhance of the quality of its products, the Quality Management Team in the Q&R Headquarters consisting of 40 people is implementing thorough quality management for all processes.

Through this, our company is maintaining a very low defect rate (0.1%) compared to other companies (5~6%) when we check defective products with our customers attending. Like this, PK Valve��s differentiated quality management system is positioning itself as an industrial standard.
